For those of you with a strong love of 90’s alt-rock music, you are in luck. A Welsh-based alternative indie rock band, Lie Supine is bringing back that sound now. Get ready to play them on repeat!
The band is based in the United Kingdom, Colwyn Bay and their single is called Open Eyes. The members of Lie Supine have been around for some time but started releasing music on Spotify in 2021. So, this is their third release since 2021’s single entitled Heavens Hands.
Open Eyes was released on June 11th and have a sound that can be described as psychedelic, soft rock and cinematic. The single features female and male vocals and will remind you of bands like Radiohead or Tool as they have an alternative rock sound with elements of pop and indie rock as well.
“This song Open Eyes is about dedicating your life to music, the struggle and the beauty. Humbly we may say this is by far one of our favourite songs we have ever written.”
Lie Supine
For the producers of PopHits.Co Lie Supine’s latest single Open Eyes is amazing and had very positive feedback. In their opinion, the track is a feel-good anthem that would have fit right into the alternative rock scene of the late 1990s. It’s got great female and male vocals—a throwback to bands like Live and The Cranberries—and it’s got lush instrumentals that make us think of bands like Foo Fighters or Smashing Pumpkins.
Yes, they caused a good impression as we are sure the producers gave great references and the band deserves it!

Open Eyes is a great example of what this band does best; it’s a catchy song with an upbeat tempo, but also a lot of depth to it that makes you want to listen over and over again. The song has a good mix between pop and alternative rock, with both male and female vocals which complement each other nicely.
The lyrics are also very poetic and poetic enough to make you want to read them over again if they get stuck in your head (which they very well might).
The band members themselves have said that they’re inspired by artists like Radiohead, Placebo and Brian Jonestown, so it’s no surprise that Lie Supine has managed to produce such a memorable song!
