JAKE EMLYN is a young, independent artist from London who has released an incredible album called Only Need Love. The album is a mix of acoustic rock and indie pop, with melodic pop elements and some spoken word features. There are two EDM songs on it, which is unusual for an acoustic album style, but it works very well.
Emlyn’s voice is deep and smooth, but he avoids over-saturation by keeping the instrumentation simple—though it’s always perfectly placed in the mix. The track Look Inside is our favourite and a good example of Emlyn’s artistic skills.
This is a 13-track album that you can listen to while chilling at home, going on a long drive or for a fun summertime with your friends. It’s great for parties or just listening alone for relaxing.

2) DJ MODERNO – Tus Ojos
DJ MODERNO is an independent artist based in Madrid, Spain. His single, “Tus Ojos”, is a perfect mix of electronic pop, synth pop, EDM and vocal dance. It’s an anthem for European pop culture!
The song starts off with a retro pop beat and then progresses into an EDM anthem that you can work out.
DJ Moderno’s voice is soothing and melodic, which makes for an enjoyable listen. The instrumental backing track features synthesizers and drums that complement each other perfectly. The song is not only EDM but it’s also pure Rock ‘n’ Roll in the middle.

3) YOUNG LEÓN – Moonlight
As the indie pop scene continues to grow and diversify, the wide range of sounds coming out of it is truly remarkable.
From bedroom pop to drum n bass to alternative and commercial, there’s no shortage of exciting new music from up-and-coming artists. One such artist is Young León, who released his latest single “Moonlight” earlier this month.
Young León is based in Los Angeles and has been making music for some years now. His sound incorporates elements of pop-punk, alternative rock, emo pop and more into a style that can only be described as “beautiful chaos”.
The track begins with an intro that sounds like a tropical pop summer band before launching into some syncopated beats that give way to an emotional vocal performance by Young León himself. We just loved it!
The lyrics are heartfelt and relatable—at least they were for me: “My heart broke down” is part of the lyrics, so you already know what we are talking about.
The song’s sound could be described as bedroom pop meets drum n bass meets alt-rock meets emo pop but really it doesn’t matter what you call it because all that matters is that YOUNG LEÓN has created something truly special here. So check it out and follow the artist on Spotify!
4) JUS2WO – Tipsy
The Brooklyn-based indie pop artist JUS2WO is back with a new single, “Tipsy,” and it’s sure to get you dancing. Guys, this one must be on that playlist for your party, for sure!
The song is an amazing mix of pop, afrobeat and dancehall that will have you grooving and snapping your fingers in no time. The lyrics are about being tipsy on love and having the best time ever.

The artist was from a Military Academy, and it has nothing to do with music production, but after graduating he decided to invest in his dreams, and thank God he took this decision, what a talent. Wow, we can say this is the best track on our list!
He has been working on this project for over a year and we notice his efforts. He is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he has built up a strong local following since releasing his first single earlier this year.

6) KIT CITRINE – Midnight Masquerade
KIT CITRINE‘s new single Midnight Masquerade is a synth-driven, heartfelt indie pop anthem that’ll have you dancing along to its quirky vocals and anthemic hook.
The Orlando, FL-based singer-songwriter’s sound has been described as “alt-rock”, “pop,” and “pop rock”. It’s one of those songs that’ll appeal to both fans of alternative rock like the Pixies and fans of pop artists like Taylor Swift.
And while some critics have pointed out that Kit Citrine’s voice has been compared to Lana Del Rey and Florence + The Machine, I think she has a unique style all her own.

It’s got a retro pop vibe that will instantly put you in the mood for dancing, but there’s also an element of alternative pop that makes it stand out from other artists in the same genre.
We can see that it’s a song about letting go of the past and moving forward with love in your heart. With its upbeat tempo and catchy chorus, it will be stuck in your head for days!

8) HANNAH DORMAN – 222
You know how sometimes you listen to a song and you’re just like, “WHY IS THIS NOT A HIT?!” I’m here to tell you that this is one of those songs.
The UK-based artist HANNAH DORMAN has released her 5-track EP 222, and it’s a banger. Her pop-punk sound is anthemic, with a danceable beat that will get stuck in your head for days.
Her vocals are commercial pop in the best way possible—they’re catchy, but not too high or too low, and they have just the right amount of grit to them. Think of Kate Perry and her anthemic rebel youth-style songs. Our favourite is Gasoline, but we loved all of them.

9) RED SKIES MOURNING – Red Skies Mourning
The indie pop music that Baltimore-based artist RED SKIES MOURNING aka Chris Aleshire is releasing this year is a must-listen. The 8-track album Red Skies Mourning features songs that are super, let’s say, delicious to listen to. We are going to recommend straight Deep Moonlight, it’s a radio-ready banger!
The album is a blend of chillwave, and dream pop, with electronic features, and synth effects that bring that synth wave texture and euphoria. The album has amazing male vocals and an uplifting vibe that will have you dancing through your day with a smile on your face. This guy is a genius, he went from a US Marine to the stage, and we can say he was born for that!
There are so many great things about this album: the production value is high and professional; there are no weak points in any of the tracks; it’s a great way to start off the morning or end your day with a smile on your face; you’ll want to listen to this one again and again!

10) OLLY LAGEMANN – Green
OLLY LAGEMANN‘s EP, Green, is a 4-track collection of synth-pop and alternative rock that’s sure to please fans of 80s rock and synth. The tracks are a mix of catchy synth beats and enjoyable guitar melodies that will have you humming along in no time.
It’s got all the nostalgia of your favourite alternative rock bands from back then, but with an edge of synth that keeps you feeling fresh and up-to-date. The first track Was Sie Aus Einem Macht is a good example of the retro pop-rock style.
The artist is based in Germany, Cuxhaven, and his latest projects feature an upbeat retro vibe with plenty of autotune and smooth male vocals.
